THE SUMMER FILM PROJECT 2013
PRESENTS
The Summer Film Project is an organization for kids, by kids
and about kids. SFP Productions is a new
company that will produce an independent short film every summer. Our goal is to put together cast and crew
offering opportunities for kids between the ages of 11-17 to be exposed to the
many different aspects of the film industry.
Not only will we seek talent in front of the camera but also
for the many different jobs behind the camera.
Our goal is to give kids exposure in the areas of Directing, Production,
Camera, Sound, Runners, Wardrobe, Make-up, Creative Writing, Set Design and
much more.
Our hope is to have the tweens and teens of SFP Production
grow in their ability to be a able to produce their own independent efforts in
filming a short and submitting it to film festivals.
This is an amazing opportunity for youths who may not
otherwise be able to gain this exposure. SFP Productions is in its' infancy
stage and we will need your assistance in raising funds and acquiring the
talent that will help us to have a positive effect on the children in our
community.
The Wreckless Five is the first Summer Film Project for SFP
Productions and it is sure to be a film that is fun, as well as funny. It's also great entertainment that the entire
family can enjoy.

We are looking for the following characters:
NIGEL: (Supporting): Male / 13-14, African American. Kamal's younger brother. Very smart and very interested in making money. He's a thirteen year old entrepreneurial genius. Always looking for ways to make money even if it's at his brother's expense. Secretly he thinks Kamal's friends are a bunch of misfits. However, he learns a lesson that friendship and brotherly love is more important than any amount of money.
DIESEL: (Supporting): Male/14-15, African American / Caucasian / Hispanic. KAMAL's
best friend. Big guy. Looks like a football player but he has a big heart. Always
supportive of his friend Kamal. Shy with the ladies.
DEUCE: (Supporting): Male/14-15, Caucasian/Asian/Hispanic. Crazy about
his sneakers. Talks a lot of trash but really a mama’s boy. Average height.
LETHAL: (Supporting): Male/14-15, Caucasian. A little overweight.
Funny. He and KAMAL have been friends since grade school. Kind of sloppy but
thinks he's a lady’s man. Friends call him LETHAL but he doesn't realize it's
b/c of his breath.
ZOE:
(Supporting): Female/14-15, African American. Kind of tomboyish but very cute.
Has her own funky style of fashion. The CREW thinks of her as one of the guys
but she has a secret crush on KAMAL.
DOC: (Supporting): Female/30s-40s, African American. A little eccentric. She's over the moon about her new business, the Pink Pet Palace and is excited to have Kamal and his CREW help with the clean up.
DOC: (Supporting): Female/30s-40s, African American. A little eccentric. She's over the moon about her new business, the Pink Pet Palace and is excited to have Kamal and his CREW help with the clean up.
EMERCYN: (Supporting): Female/15-16. African American/Hispanic. Very
superficial, high fashion and high maintenance. KAMAL's crush. She intends to
use KAMAL to go to the concert but plans to dump him afterwards. Has a
personality as though she is entitled to what she wants, when she wants it.
DAD: (Supporting): Male/35-40, African American. Average height and build. Looks like he still takes pride in his appearance. Hard working, professional. Trying to raise two boys alone and trying to make sure he keeps dialog open with his sons and their friends.
ELISA: (Supporting): Female/16-17. Any Ethnicity.
Vet’s assistant. Likes DIESEL.
GIRL #1: (Supporting):Female/15-16, Any ethnicity. Friend of EMERCYN.
Loyal follower. Girl in car. Has crush on DEUCE.
GIRL #2: (Supporting):Female/15-16, Any Ethnicity. Girl in car w/
EMERCYN.
Painter: (Supporting):Male/25+. Any Ethnicity.
KIDS AT CARWASH: (Supporting) Male/Female/13-15, Any
Ethnicity. Total: 4. Holding up carwash signs. Laughing and kidding around.
